Week 5 Update

This week started out very good, with 3 wins in a row, then a loss and 2 wins the bank was at £116.45.  However the next 2 days and 3 bets all losers, brought the bank down to £107.90.

So overall the bank is up 7.9% since starting the trial, For this week the return has been 3.85%.

The Bot continues to work very well and has not stopped since the trial was started. So no vps issues.

I guess from the Little Acorns Laying system it is not really preforming that well 39 lay bets placed and 20 winners.  However as always we are only into the trial for 5 weeks and therefore it has plenty of time to produce the results that the author states.

There will be no adjustment to the Bot and it will continue as it first started.

Why Use A Bot?

Why use a Bot?

Answer is very straight forward, to be able to place the correct lay bet within 1 minute of the race starting. Without any human intervention the Bot will follow the instructions of the system and place the lay bet when all conditions are true.

The added bonus is you do not need to be logged on. The Bot will check your parameters in this case (Little Acorns Laying System)  when all conditions are matched the Bot will then place the Lay bet through to Betfair.

How easy can that be! Well in theory yes it is easy, But  (there is always a but) you must ensure that your conditions are correct and most Bots will allow you to test your program in Demo Mode.  This means the Bot will use a trial bank (not real money) and then use all the conditions as you have set them, should you see any anomaly then check the report to find out where you have gone wrong.

Note I wrote "Where You Have Gone Wrong"  The only way the Bot can go wrong is You! There can be times when the program looks correct and appears to preform 90% of the time and then something goes wrong.  It can be a hard task to find exactly what is going wrong, but when you find it and Bot works perfectly it is a great feeling.

I have been using Bots for over 10 years, tried them all some are better then others for certain ideas you may have.  I have been using my current Bot for well over 3 years now and it runs 3 betting programs, 2 of those are my own design which are not in discussion here and of course the Little Acorn Laying System.

Why Use VPS

Some of you may be asking why use vps?

This is a very good question and I use it for a number of reasons listed below:-

The system runs on its own server that is not connected with your Laptop, PC or Tablet. Allowing you the knowledge that your Bot is operating 24/7 with little or no downtime.

Power cuts are non-existent as the vps I use guarantee 99.99% up-time.

Running a Bot on your own PC will take up computing power, will slow down your PC while working on something else.

If you are located in a country that Betfair do not allow betting, you can locate your vps where it is allowed

They are very easy to setup, in fact just like your normal desktop.

Month 1 Update

Month 1 Little Acorns Laying System

Having completed the first month the bank is up by 3.9%.

This week the system had 3 wins and 5 losers.  So not a great week but overall 3.9% for 1 month investment cannot be turned down.

The system over the month produced 30 bets average 1 each day, with 15 winners and 15 losers, 50% strike rate.  The only reason I am showing a profit albeit small, is due to the low liability staking that system produces and the compounding bank staking.

Now the claims from the author are a lot higher, but we are to early in the trial. To be fair I have not adopted the staking plans that are suggested and will put up some charts to show how the staking plans suggested would have preformed. Also I am using Irish meetings which is suggested but no figures to back that up.  Once again I will break this down and show the results just for UK meetings.

The Bot will continue on without adjustment and see what next month results are.

I will be putting up a page of statistics Strike Rate, Draw-down etc etc, so you can see quickly how the system preforms.

For now I am happy with the performance and with a return  investment just under 4% is very good. However if a person was starting out then the return is not good at all based on a £100 bank as this will not cover costs of the Bot or VPS. Will cover more on this later.

Week 3 Update

Slow and steady is this weeks preformance.  Only 4 bets 2 wins and 2 losers but once again due to low liability and 3% betting rule we have made a small increase in the bank of £0.42

Okay nothing to write home about, but it proves that laying the low liability will not wipe your bank out.

So the bank total stands at £108.17 after 22 bets and next week we will have our first months total.

As always any questions please feel free to ask.

Week 2 Update

So a bit of of turn around this week.  We had 8 bets of which 6 won and has turned the bank back into profit of £7.75.  5 wins in a row over 3 days.  So Overall to date we have 10 wins 8 Losers.

Using the combination of the low liability bets and the 3% staking plan.

So overall pretty good so far, however we have another 50 weeks to go.

As always if you have any comments or questions please feel free to ask.

Ready To Go

Time now is 1pm Saturday afternoon, Bot is all setup and ready to go, first race is 1:30pm and I have 46 races today.  So hopefully there should be some bets that meet the conditions of the system.

Nice win yesterday and at 1.67 odds, I had my doubts. There was lot of money placed on the favorite, but in the end he was beaten by a length.

As always any questions please feel free to ask.
